Glory of God Bible Verses
Isaiah 43:10-13 "You are My witnesses", says the LORD, "and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are My witnesses", says the LORD, "that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am He; and there is none that can deliver out of My hand: I will work, and who shall let it?"
God always comes through for the patient:
Isaiah 49:23c And you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me.
If you're going to boast, boast about the Lord:
Jeremiah 9:24 "But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving-kindngess, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight", says the LORD.
Persistence pays off:
Luke 11:9,10 And I say unto you, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened."
By believing Jesus' words, we have life:
John 5:24-26 Truthfully I say unto you, he that hears My word, and believes on Him that sent Me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into the condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Truthfully I say unto you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so has He given to the Son to have life in Himself.
God is our provider; Jesus gives us our Comforter, the Holy Spirit, who lives in us; we are loved by the Father, and we show our love by following Jesus:
John 14:13-18,21 And whatsoever you shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwels with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. He that has My commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves Me: and he that loves Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.
How we show our love to Jesus, and our reward:
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, "If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
We must remain in Jesus and bear fruit, be pruned and refined, and we will be blessed:
John 15:1-5,7-10 I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that bears not fruit He takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean through the word wich I have spoken unto you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples. As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you: continue you in My love. If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.
We have peace with God:
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Spirit pleads for us:
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Itself maks intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
We are God's children, glorified as the brothers of Jesus, who is the first among many brothers:
Romans 8:29,30 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many bretheren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified; and whom He justified, them He also glorified.
Call to God!:
Romans 10:9-13 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dad, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whosoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.' For there is not difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Our bodies are God's holy temples:
1 Corinthians 3:16,17; 6:19,20 Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are... Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own? For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
We were made for immortality with God:
2 Corinthians 5:4b,5 (NIV) We do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
We'll be with God forever:
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and reamin shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
We are with Christ:
2 Timothy 2:11-13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us: if we believe not, yet He abides faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
God is long-suffering for us all to repent and live:
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God has forgiven the whole world's sins:
1 John 1:9-2:2 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
We have hope as God's children if we purify ourselves from the world:
1 John 3:1-3 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when [Jesus] appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.
The ultimate future of God's people:
Revelation 21:3-7 And I heard a great voice out of the heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." And He that sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said unto me, "Write: for these words are true and faithful." And He said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha nd Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that thirsts of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son."
